N55 Tuning Software

This will be dedicated to getting tuning software working and some basics to use that software. This will be focused on E9x N55 with 98G0B PWG. If have questions on tuning tables after getting software up and running post in https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1787692

We need software which can be found here https://www.tunerpro.net/downloadApp.htm You only need TunerPro not TunerPro RT.
You will also need a XDF file which can be found here https://mega.nz/file/UG5mwAxQ#veNWYk...JDmH-OwPUgL2r8 this labels the tables in the bin files
Last is a bin file. This file you can get off of MHD when doing a stock backup or there is a stock bin here https://mega.nz/file/9O4EFSZA#vSAzX4...rHIkj-Z1-79bE0 this is the tables that you will be editing to tune.

Once software is downloaded select XDF and chose the 98G0B file from above. Then select your bin file under file. It should look like this up top

I like to change my view by to parameter category for easier sorting of the tables

Now lets look at the load table "Load Ceiling (main)". You will notice that you have x and y axis values. We wont go into detail here what these mean but those values come from the breakpoint tables.

Once I want to start changing my tables I could select a box and enter a value or I can use the function/value on top of the table to change values. For example we will edit the whole load table by selecting all box and multiple the current values by two and hit execute as seen

To save your changes hit the save button on the table then file/save bin as and enter name. I usually increase version names with each new change.

The compare will be useful once you start tuning and what to see what has been change or when you are seeing what others have changed when they share bin. You select compare/load compare bin then select the bin you want to compare. Hit the weight scale on the table and it will cycle thru the values current table and compare table (comparing stock v1.0 in picture)

Any questions about software functions or issues reply here.

I very literally searched ALL DAY for something like this, going down many rabbit holes and finally found this. You have SAVED me so much headache and time/money and I had to jump on and thank you for that. This is exactly the simple direction I was looking for on how to make a very small change to something on the car to aid diagnosis.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, truly, you are a bloody rockstar to me for this.

Is there any way you could assist/advise on how I can adjust the Timing/Timing correction?
Best I found was the main table for timing but the values are all mixed up on the side (attached photo)
Seems like most of the ignition data is coming through all mixed up like this. Not sure if there's a way for me to fix it?

I am getting too much timing correction between 2000-4000 RPM and 27-45% load
I am not easily identifying the MAP X/Y identifiers or cell ranges for this sadly I'm a bit lost on where to adjust for this change. I was going to pull maybe 5 degrees in that range area mentioned and see if the timing corrections go away, or if they're being caused by something else

Your XDF does not match your BIN.

it should look smooth - like this:

Notice that the X and Y axes are both incremental.

Whatever you've changed, CHANGE IT BACK and use the right XDF.

You can generally find this by using different bins until it looks linear, as such.

Wait so can I only play around with maps over here but to actually put these tunes into my car I need a 3rd party app and a license to do it? Or does tunerpro allow me to do everything for free?
