That extra shift just before 60 keeps the time down. I think if you didn’t had to shift there, you could’ve hit it in about 5

Yeah probably so. FYI I didn’t mean that video to represent a 0-60 run the launch was gentle and I was watching the camera trying to keep it framed not watching my tach for shift points. The car is a little faster than that to me it seems to time about the same as when I had the 3 stage and 3.73, like 5.3-5.4 or so 0-60 on my best runs. I have another video that was maybe a little faster where I was trying to time a run but he video is not framed right the speedo moves out of the frame for part of the run and my shift knob popped off when I banged 2nd... that wasn’t going to stop me I grabbed the bare shift rod and kept going... when I shifted to 3rd something felt weird and then the shift rod assembly went all limp and loose and wobbly.

Car is in neutral and 1/2 mile from home luckily. Gonna tow it home with my Jeep now anyone ever broken a shift linkage?

I’ve run it there once and started a thread here after. It was first week of March had a decent D/A and my first time at a drag strip.

Biginboca I will be deeply pissed off if you ever beat my M3's 13.5s. I never got a perfect pass, was bumping the rev limiter in 3rd instead of shifting to 4th but you'll definitely be deep in 4th by the end of the track.

I don’t see my car ever beating 13.6... even if I get lighter wheels and mess with tire pressure, etc I think that’s about the best it could do on a perfect run in ideal weather (50 degree temps). I’ve spent some time researching (can’t always be under the car tinkering lol) and this is about where the N/A cars stack up approximately:

I see no reason a F/I N52 would make less than 300whp which should propel it right between the e46 and e92 m3’s, provided the gearing and tuning is sorted.

I ran consistent 13.4 / 13.5s @ 99mph without shifting into 4th gear, and unfortunately I didn't get a time slip for The One Perfect Run where everything went well. I would like to think the car was running 13.2 or 13.3 @ 102 or so.

Yeah a supercharged 328 ought to dust a stock E46 M3. An E46 with headers and gears and a tune might give a supercharged N52 a run for its money though.

I got that from some googling. Did some more reading just now maybe that was optimistic, I’m seeing some other reviews around 14.2 @ 97 depends on the review.
