E90 330i Rear sway bar delete?
Looking for advice on if removing the rear sway bar might benefit the handling on my setup.
It seems to be common on track cars running higher spring rates. Would be nice to drop some extra weight too. Anyone here running no bar? Results? Just trying to get it to handle as good as it can. I come from e36's where most of the track guys didn't run rear sway bars but only saw a few guys here running no rear sway.
Usually the benefit would be not lifting inner rear tire coming out of a corner so you can get back on the throttle quicker |

Are you having problems with lifting the inner rear wheel, or being able to get on the power early?
Removing it will aid rear end grip, but will shift the balance further towards understeer. So you need to decide for yourself if that would help your car. My hunch is that you're better off as it is, but I doubt it'd make much difference either way. |

It doesn't sound like you're doing anything where it would make a difference.
The rear is more sensitive to toe adjustments to tweak steady state cornering, which is basically what the rear bar is also trimming. The rear bar is very small and doesn't move the needle much. I basically use mine in the dry, and pop off an end link in the rain since it's not practical to change the toe settings all the time.

I don't track my car or anything, and run stock msport rear geo. I also have staggered tyres, and used an e93 m3 rear sway to rob the back end of some grip...I'd switch down to an e90 m3 one if I did it again. (E91 330d RWD)
