SZM in programming-abort mode. Status 12
The previous owner did un update to the whole car using ISTA/p in online comfort mode and he was not in front of the computer when it asked for terminal 15 to be swtiched off.
As a consequence Two frustrating issues happened: - SZM/BZM Ecu is in programming-abort mode. Tool32 reports status 10. - No more free UIF (AIF) entries on every ECU. This is a dilemma. I only have Winkfp, ncsExpert and tool32 with a Dcan/kline cable. Can I still do something? Many thanks for your help. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RjN...w?usp=drivesdk https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Rdh...w?usp=drivesdk Last edited by hanynowsky; 10-29-2019 at 09:16 AM.. |

Would it be fine with a mere D-CAN/K-Line cable.
I never used Expert mode in WinkFP. Would it be fine if I just: - Turn off UIF write in Winkfp in comfort mode. - Reprogram the SZM ecu with the same current ZUSB. Do I have to worry about the i-level ? What worries me is that it is the MOSTGW that reports the issue (However, ISTA+ does not mention the MOSTGW, it only tells that the SZM is in programming-abort mode). Thanks |

You can reprogram with the same zusb. If you wish. Select it in winkfp. Although I wouldn't worry about the ilevel. |

I am gonna grab myself a 5A battery charger and re-flash this weekend. I will report as soon as I get a result. PS: By the way, how long do you think the flash would take. ~ 60 minutes ? Last edited by hanynowsky; 10-31-2019 at 11:00 AM.. |

Yesterday only I was able to plug and flash. But unfortunately, the Programming Abort Status is back. I was able to use WinkFP to flash the SZM unit using the same ZUSB (UIF unchecked). It took 3 minutes to flash with success. I then thought it was okay but to my surprise the ABORT status comes back few hours after I delete error codes. https://ibb.co/wwW5wX8 The errors are these: https://ibb.co/thSS4FN Why would the programming abort status persists even after a successful unit flash? Do I need to re-code the SZM unit after the flash (SG_CODIEREN) ??? The DSC and Parking Radar buttons on the Center Console do not work because of this error. I found also a procedure in ISTA+ called: Vehicle Management -> Service Functions -> BODY --> MOST NETWORK -> MOST RING -> SAVE MOST RING Configuration which is said to get rid of the E18F error but not sure I am tempted to dit with a D-CAN/K-LIne cable? What do you suggest? Cheers, PS: List of ISTA ECU: https://ibb.co/hg5KpPL Last edited by hanynowsky; 11-23-2020 at 05:53 AM.. |
