New Wheels - Now what tires?

I just got my new wheels in the mail!

The wheels are 19x8.0 et 35 front and 19x9.0 et 38 rear.

Which tire setup should I go with (Conti DW's):

1) 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear with a -3 rolling diameter difference
2) 225/40/19 front and 255/35/19 rear with a 0 rolling diameter difference

Ideally the 0 rolling diameter would be better for the transfer case, but would the smaller width tires look stretched on 8" and 9" wheels?

(Yes I know this is a tire topic, but I wanted to post here to get input from the XI/X Drive group!)

sorry for the late reply. what did you end up choosing? i'm at the same fork in the road as you were, but ride comfort is at a premium these days with the 19s...

The Conti DW's were back ordered when I was looking for tires, so I ended up going with Hankook V12's. 225/35/19 F and 265/30/19 R. The revs are 2 or 3 (can't remember off the top of my head, but tirerack has the info) different front to back.

Nice, I've heard good things about that rubber. I was thinking about the taller 225/40 F 255/35 R setup, but that adds over 3/4" to my current tire diameter and I think that will be too much. Don't want to start dealing with things like fender rolling, etc. Also, thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated.

I wish I would have read this because I just ordered 19 ASA 19x8 front 19x9 rear and conti dws which is 235/35/19 front 265/30/19 I hope it don't make any trouble for my transfer case . If i wouldve known I wouldve gotten the 18 (

I got this exact same setup and no issues....I have the Conti DW's and a set of snows for the winter. I do like the DW's but I think they are loud. I think I'm going to try the Michelin Pilot Super Sport next time.
