It's better with high quality headphones. I have the 2nd part of the video but I messed up and included non-irrelevant stuff so I'll make a new one. The 2nd video had the real daily driving/aggressive sound in it.

On oem set ups, 2ndary cat pipe sizing is 2.25 inches, resonator piping is 2.5.

Like it's loud every time you step on it casually, in the cabin. Where if two people were conversing it would be noticeable?

Like when people get in my car that know nothing about cars theyre like "damn your car is loud". I'd attribute this to the drone from 2-3k.

, hahaa, lol, yeah it turned out if your really lookin to get a more "louder, sound difference oppose to stock you have to make sure it's 2.5, turned out my muffler shop replaced my deleted 2ndAry cats and resonator with a much smaller piping or same as 2.25 diameter, sux . This is afterwards when I noticed no improvement on sound just slightly and not having knowledge of how that much of size makes a difference, (sound wise)

IMO I would go with 2.25 piping all the way. Less bassy and gives more rasp and high pitch revs rather than something else like 2.5 and 3 inches which I did have before.

I did it to my 330 and they sound is about as loud as a muffler delete with non of the drone. I had a muffler delete and I have the pe with no 2nd cats. The car has a lot more low end torque and pulls much harder.

I have this setup too and love it. I don't think there's a better sounding combo for the N52. BMW PE + aFe race pipes ftw!

Quiet till you downshift and gun it, no drone.
As I've said before, you easily forget that you have an exhaust during normal driving.
When you push the car you really get to enjoy the sound this engine makes. Windows cracked, all the better.

Been running the AFE pipes + PE setup for a little over a week now and I'll echo these sentiments.

In fact, I did forget about it today when I was driving home on the highway (still thinking about work) until I exited and downshifted as I was coming to a stop and heard it gurgling out of the back. Made me all giddy.
