premature inside tyre wear on 19" e92

in the uk we are suffering from severe premature tyre wear on the insides of the rear tyres rendering them useless and in some cases dangerous ive had this with 2 sets of bridgestones has anyone in the us had this problem

you are probably riding on the inside of them causing the wear. and most people are because bmws come with a little negative camber. add aftermarket rims and suspension and that negative camber could be increased causing faster tire wear.

im considering having the neg camber reduced to try to stop the wear fitter says it should only reduce top end handling which im not concerned about but am fed up with throwing otherwise perfectly good tyres away due to 1" of wear on the inside edge.

Did you get the camber adjusted on the rear of your e92 dude? Has it improved.?

same here. it's a common across the range. i've got the same problem and my tyre guy assures me i'm not on my own

i had a kds done on the car when i had the performance suspension fitted, rear camber on one side was slightly out but not enough to cause the wear. i thought that fitting the new suspension may make a difference, looked at the rear tyres today and although 90% of the tread is like new the inside 1" is smooth so i dont suppose they will last much longer. i still think the crap bridgestones are mainly the problem, will never buy them again and will be interesting to see if another make are any better. id never buy bridgestones anyway because their attitude to customers stinks!
