How much did it cost to have the coding done?

As further update, I was sent a replacement set of headlights. I've had them on for a day, error free so far. The real test will be if they work in the morning.

Has anyone found similar headlights to these that'll work on an 09 e90 335i lci w/xenon AHL? The ones sold by shopauto all say that they don't have auto-level control.

I'm not even sure if I'd lose anything with that? Is the auto-leveling 100% necessary? Sorry for the dummy questions, just got the car a week ago and still learning about the bells & whistles!

Oem xenons are much higher quality than these or most aftermarket lights.

Not sure these even fit xenon cars, but even if so, light output would be much worse than oem. Of course the halos would look cool though.

The better options are to get brighter bulbs for your current halos, or retrofit different rings into your current headlights.

Awesome - thanks for the info! I already tossed some new bulbs in and while they're definitely whiter - they're just not that bright.

Plus, I really dig the DTM (Raptor?) or squared rings - and yeah a retrofit would be ideal if I wasn't a bumbling idiot who will find a way to break anything. I'd rather not try knowing how massively I'd fail... perhaps I'll see if anyone local is more experienced and mechanically skilled with such things.

Nice looking lights.. Only bad thing about leaving my oem's would be the cornering and auto level

So far so good. I also used a bunch of electrical tape around all the wire connections before installing, I don't know if that helped it or not. I have now emailed the seller about the tail lights I bought from them at the same time. The turn signal LEDs dont all light up, only about half of them do. Lol.

Light output looks great in the pic. Is it sufficient now that you don't feel out of place when next to a high end car with factory xenons?

Not sure if I could see it. Is it accessible from the engine bay while mounted on?

Yeah, for sure. It's super long. When I'm by my car again I'll take a picture. It takes an 8mm socket.

Looks great, btw.
