Tischer BMW vs JL-Motoring CF Trunk Lip

E92 Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler Lip

I'm not sure who to buy from. Tischer has OEM and JL-Motoring has the rep.
About $175 in savings.

Is quality and fitment about the same? JL sticks with 3M and Tischer sticks with another adhesive. Which sticks better? Are both removable after 3 years? Will JL maintain its looks after 3 years of exposure to sunlight?

Please help me decide. Thanks.

id say if you're ever in doubt go OEM, I don't see why u can't use double sided tape for tischer's one. I assume they tell you to betalink it and if that's the case you won't be able to remove it without damaging your paint. That stuff is like cement lol.

Thanks. I guess my other worry is for it to fly off @ 150+ mph or in machine car wash. It seems to stick out quite a bit creating lots of wind resistance. But I'd also wanna be able to remove it. Quite a dilemma here.

JL Motoring lip is excellent! 3M tape is not going let it fly off at any speed. Most lips are attached with 3M tape so there is nothing to worry about.

If wind or a machine wash can make it fly off, I'd be worried about several other things on the car... specifically the tow hook cover

Thanks for the input guys.
I went ahead and ordred the OEM one anyway. I haven't had CF experience before so I didn't want it to stick to my head that the JL clearcoat finish won't last as long or worry about every car wash I take it to. I will cement it and not remove after. Can't expect to sell back every part I guess but the next owner will enjoy it

P.S. I'm sure the JL-Motoring Lip is just as good but I payed the extra $164 to get the worry bug out of my head.

And then when you run into someone with a JL version you'll be kicking yourself for spending that extra cash! ;>} you could buy anM-tech e-brake handle for that!

lol believe me, I live in a pretty good neighborhood and I still don't run into modified beemers like I see on here.

And as far as kicking myself in the ass for getting an OEM/Authentic part, I've always considered the luckier one to be the one who was able to comfortably afford the original. I've mostly bought reps in the past, but was never 100% satisfied.

I just still haven't fully decided if I wanna use 3M or permanent adhesive. If I go 3M, then I would also be able to get similar % of my money back when I sell it right? I think $460 is still quite a deal from the $622 that BMW charges for the same part.
