Looking for Info on E92 to E82 steering wheel retrofit, with DCT paddle upgrade

Hoping someone can help me out with understanding if this is actually possible. I havent been able to find any threads of anyone who did the same retrofit I'm looking to do, but from what I've heard, this should be possible, and may even be plug and play.

I currently have the below steering wheel:

Dont mind my christmas tree - this photo was taken the day I picked up this running and driving 335i for $3k. It had a bad wheel speed sensor.

I want to switch to:

So my car is an E92 with AT paddles. I'm looking to switch to E82 wheel with DCT paddles. From what I understand, the paddles are plug and play, and the wheel is plug and play. Can anyone confirm and point me in the direction of any info I should keep in mind?

Thanks!

the lci paddles are not plug and play for pre-lci car
but m3 paddles are plug and play for pre-lci car
so may be it will be more reasonable to get m3 steering wheel with dct paddles and do not bother with modifying paddles

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that. Through this research I've also found that people are swapping the leads in the SSG paddles so the left one goes down and the right one goes up when you pull towards you. I may do that as a starting point even though I hate my thin steering wheel. Maybe I can just grab the e82 wheel and swap over my trim, buttons, airbag, and SSG paddles with the modification.
