Bled my brakes have issue now
2011 328i xdrive
So I bought this car and I've changed alll the fluids in it because it was needed (preventative maintenance right, lol). I still have to do the transfer case but that will be later on. I did a brake flush this past Saturday. Everything went well, I used the motive power bleeder and kept the pressure 12 to 15 pounds continuously. I bled each wheel in order and thought everything was fine. My brake petal is now much more solid. Job well done I thought. I drove to work yesterday and I got on the highway and an engine light came on. No brake or ABS light. So I scanned and have this error- VGSG [VGSG90] | 55C3: AWD limp-home control activated. No DSC specified nominal torque. When I removed the wheel (all 4) they were all really stuck on the hub, I had to yank, pull, hit with rubber mallet just get get each wheel off. I expect I pulled one of the abs connects loose doing so. I plan on checking. Is there anything else I should be looking for? Thoughts? I have protools, is there a way of checking each wheel so i don't have to take each wheel off and look? |

Probably your brake switch. Possibly depressed too far after doing the bleed process when you got back in the car. I doubt its the TC actuator.
Try to take the switch out and recalibrate it. |

Brake switch? Where is the located (at the pedal?) and how do you recalibrate it if you don't mind me asking? I looked it up. Remove it, pull the white plunger all the way up and reinstall. Then make sure the plunger and brake pedal lay upon each other.
Is that correct? Last edited by mapleleaf1773; 04-20-2021 at 09:25 AM.. |

Here you go I have a few codes they are attached below. Thoughts?
I am not concerned with the comfort access issue, more worried about the limp mode issue initially. Thoughts? |

Well I checked the battery and it has never been registered. So I looked and the date on it was 8/17. Almost 4 years old. Voltage was good with the car running and off though.
I decided it needs changed regardless and to see if that would help with my errors. Mainly the limp mode situation. So I replaced the battery, registered it and was able to get rid of limp mode, steering angle sensor error and cleared the rest. I'm gonna give it a day or two, see what comes back. I should have done that 2+ months ago when i bought the car but I didnt. I think that could of been some of my problems, bad battery. I'll come back when I put some miles back on it.
