Hi Raj,
Tried copying your M3 cowl install to get rid of the heavy standard unit, do you have the part number for the cable ducting? Can't seem to find it on realoem.com http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...12#64316958818 Thanks Adam

Yeah no problem I'll dig it out. It was under the engine electrical I'm sure but just checked realoem and it's not highlighting it. Will check shortly and get it for you.

The bonnet one didn't need extending and just use some washers to raise it up to correct height. Pretty much sits in the same position. The other one does need extending for it to fit in the correct position in the new cowling.

So it's been a while since I added to this.
I decided to trial some fixed camber plates with the OE top mounts and remov the Vorshlag adjustable plates I had. Once on I needed to get the alignment done. Decided to get mine and Tinsta's cars booked in with Matt@Spires for full corner weighting and alignment. Achieved pretty much bang on 50/50 diagonal axis weight distribution which is excellent to know it's been setup properly now. Final camber figures achieved for the fronts: -1.8degrees both fronts. Am very pleased with that from the plates and the M3 LCA's. So a breeze to fit and good additional camber achieved. Sorted. The eagle eyed will have noticed another little mod added. I bought a splitter/lip from Schmiedmann in December and it's been sat in the garage ever since. Then a coupe of weeks ago a splitter came up on FB which I just had to have. Now it is used and needs a little tlc: It's a full Vorsteiner splitter with complete undertray built in. After we were finished with Matt we took a few pics (oh and put the summer Rays back on too): Thanks, Raj.

Excellent, cheers for the pics Raj Do like the new splitter, gives a meany look to the front now
After yesterdays antics, setup now feels great, alot more pointy and nimble and responsive.. tad lighter steering feel too.

Thought they may be FI's but I couldnt tell, look very very similar to the CI-R, I know the FI-R are much easier to make out as they have the awesome little cut outs in the spokes!
They look awesome on the 1er, is it a proper 1M, or a self build? |

As with most things, one thing lead to another, after fitting bigger ER oil coolers, needed wider arches/bumper. I wanted a better exhaust, which was light, so titanium was the option - did have a lightweight titanauspuffanlage for a while, very very light, but too loud for tracks! Hence, battery tray etc lead to an off the shelf 1M exhaust, then rear bumper, so it made sense to go the whole hogg and use 1M parts, but stay focused for the track. Hence I don't call it a 1M (although it has pretty much all the same bits, inc rear subframe/m3 dct diff etc), after alot of time, effort and money, prefer to label it a 1CSL Rather not hijack Raj's thread..
