The years go by but the story always stays the same with Hendrick. They're in what is I believe the largest metro area in the country with only 1 BMW center, and they exploit that fact to the fullest. They simply do not and will not compete on price, especially if they know you're a local customer. Their customer base is primarily non-enthusiast impulse buyers, and with all of the banking money in Charlotte their sales model works well for them (though the days of that store basically having a license to print money are over). The Lexus store down the street is the same way. That said, they do have some very knowledgeable CAs who've been accomodating to me, and my recent experience with the service department has been positive. I don't get frustrated with them any more, in the end it's just business. GL on finding a new place. |

so, does anybody think it would be feasible to split a BT scan tool 3 ways (those that live in the Charlotte area)?
Each person pay 1/3. Use it when needed. If a party moves they forfeit their interest in the tool. Somebody with a garage could keep custody of it. Or would this pose more trouble than it is worth? |

Hello NC folks I will be on vacation in your neck of the woods in 2 weeks. We rented a home in Carolina Beach (30 min from Wilmington). Just wondering if anyone can provide any insight about the area, local restaurants (I do realize that some might not know the area we are staying in) but figured it was worth a shot!
- Restaurants - Sights - Shopping - etc. Thanks in advance!

Ha, the fight will never die nor should it! I didn't go to school around here but it is fun to watch how excited people get over the rivalries.

Restaurants: Go south into Kerr Beach to "Big Daddy's" for decent seafood. The best restaurants are in Wrightsville Beach, about a 20 to 25 minute drive. If you go, Blue Water & Oceanic are the best. Get reservations or you'll never get in. Sights: You can tour the Battleship North Carolina (an actual WWII battleship) Take a horse carriage tour of downtown Wilmington. It's very historic and more good restaurants (Pilot House) THE BEACH! Shopping: Shopping is available on almost every corner. Stay away from the "beach" stores (Wings, etc). Lumina Station & Mayfaire Town Center are very nice (between Wilmington & Wrightsville Beach). Independence Mall is located on Oleander Dr. in Wilmington. Again, downtown Wilmington has tons of arts, crafts & antique stores. Hope this helps! |

When you write Kerr beach do you mean Kure beach? Just curious as it's located south of Carolina beach. Thanks again!

Not sure if you're bringing a four wheel drive vehicle or not but if you do the "North End" of Carolina Beach is open to four wheel drive vehicles. It's actually called Freeman Park but the locals call it The North End. I'm not sure what the daily fee is as I buy annual passes but I believe it's about $10. You can drive right out on the beach, set up your gear and sit back the rest of the day. If you go, go early. |

No problem, hope you have a safe trip. Be careful, had another drowning this weekend, 10 year old boy caught in the rip currents.
