German language speech input with BT (saving phone numbers)
Has anyone with German speech input tried saving telephone numbers using the voice command 'Namen eingeben'?
According to the communication manual this should be possible but I simply can't get it to work! The system recognises all my other voice commands but not this one. I've tried it from the main menu and the communication menu. The handbook doesn't give any guidance apart from telling you the command name and how to input the name and telephone number.

I just got into my car to try it out- it just won't work.
I use a Sony Ericsson T610 mobile which pairs & transfers its phonebook to the car perfectly, so it's not really a problem for me, but I can see it would be for those that can't do that. For the time being, my advice would be to try out a few different phones which do pair & transfer their phonebook properly (I'd recommend a Sony Ericsson) with the car. You could then also play with an online mobile phone sync service, like the one I described in this thread. |
