JB4 + BMS Data Cable

I'm looking for workarounds to dropping $140 on JB4 Bluetooth connect. I've used Bluetooth transmitters/receivers for Bluetooth devices with my desktop such as keyboards, mice etc.

I am wondering if there's some way to connect the BMS data cable to a Bluetooth transmitter and then have a windows-OS (is Android an option?) tablet inside the car with a Bluetooth receiver. I haven't bought a tablet yet but I'm trying to see what my options are before I pick one up or run the data cable through the car.

Any ideas?

Nobody with an interesting solution? I wonder if I can run the BMS data cable to a tablet? Does it have to be windows, or can I go android?

Go to the coding subforum.
You might get an answer there or the

This is not a stereo question.
