Fully fledged member - 335i M sport

Hi guys,

I have been lurking here for a while with a few posts from time to time whilst looking for a E92 335i Msport. Well i finally picked one up 2 weeks ago and love it. I'm fairly new to the forum but the car is not as it used to belong to another member on here.
I have done little to the car yet including washing it, due to work commitments but finally got that sorted today (to be fair it was clean when i picked it up but have done 1000 miles since).
There's a few little bits to sort like the rear towing eye cover but a brand new one was included with the sale, it just needs painting. I've held off on this for now as i plan to purchase a new rear diffuser and will get this done at the same time. What are the options around rear diffusers?
The wheels are starting to get a bit of lacquer peel and corrosion in spots but these will be used as winters when i find the right set for summer use but aside from that it is very tidy, has been well looked after and is a credit to the previous owner (cheers Simon!). Oh and it's fbo
I've also coded folding mirrors on the keyfob
So on to a couple of quick exterior pics following a wash, clay and polish today.

Beautiful. Love the CSL boot! What brand is that?

Not a fan of the M stripes on the grill though I must say.

Congrats on the purchase. Certainly a nice example.

Regarding diffuser you can go aftermarket or genuine performance.
I like the performance version tbf and was the route I took.

Not sure on the brand on the boot to be honest but do want to find out so will probably contact Simon to find out. I'm also not quite sure on the grill either and am considering swapping these out for plain black but undecided yet

Thanks Raj, I'm leaning towards the performance diffuser as not sure on fitment quality with aftermarket. I presume if I buy something decent from the likes of Schmiedmann it'd be good, but an eBay purchase is likely not to be?

Like you I prefer OEM for fit and quality. Schmiedmann are pretty good though. You can try the likes of Teddy@SSDD for example too.

Personally like the Perf diffuser over all the others I've seen.

Nice One, looks like you wont need to do to much as its already sorted. Same hear ref the grills, think you might find that is tape so will peel off.

Sport defuser is the way to go, and some LCI rear lights to clean the back end up...

That Boot Lid,,,, I want one for my e93 so gets my vote.

Just enjoy the drive.

I just installed an OEM performance diffuser that I got from Cotswold (site sponsor here). It will be more expensive than a rep from eBay of course but I'd say you might still be surprised at the value. But surely it's worth it to give peace of mind around fitment.

A couple of updated pics...swapped grills out for gloss black, fitted performance diffuser and rear towing eye cover, refreshed the hubs and calipers in silver and vinyl wrapped the gear lever gaitor surround as it had a big scratch on it (had to do the cup holder surround and light switch trim to match )

Is that a carbon weave pattern on the vinyl stickers for the diffuser? Did they come with the diffuser like that or did you do something to them? My diffuser just came with plain black ones (which I haven't actually even stuck on yet).

They don't come with the diffuser as BMW only sell the black decals.

I have to say, very clean car, Happy with the grill change, prefer the gloss black grills.

Also like the carbon weave bit on the rear end above that very swish defuser.

Was that there or was it some thing you have done?

Any thing else in the pipe line, LCI rears?

Yep, carbon and no they didn't come with the diffuser, I just used the black ones as a template to make these out of 3M dinoc vinyl. As the car is black it needed a bit of contrast to break it up

Thanks Steve, I have added the carbon as above but yes always something I want to do
Wouldn't mind lowering it a bit more, want some new wheels (but the LM reps will be refurbed soon with freshly polished lips and a gunmetal centre), keeping an eye out for LCI rears at a decent price and also considering M3 mirrors at some point too. Interior is pretty sorted but would like a bit more in the audio department to be honest. It doesn't need to be top notch but the standard audio pack is a bit on the muddy side so a bit more clarity would be nice.

Very nice touch! Probably unique too, I've certainly never seen that done before.

Tempted to do something similar on mine to complement my carbon performance spoiler!
