Coolant expansion tank as preventative maintenance ?

I'm going to have some fluids changed and the front struts out as i'm finally breaking the 100k mark and the car is 10 years old. I've heard of the expansion tanks cracking. Does it seem like overkill to swap it out if it's not leaking? I've had the car for 5 years so I know the tank is at least that old.

Thanks

I have 67K on my car and just changed mine as preventive. I think its a good idea to do it.

Mine's 13 years 3 months old and at 379,000 miles. I keep an eye on it obviously. 2006 325i I'm the original owner. It did experience an overheating event at 149,500 miles in 2011.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
