Lightbulb Best Tire Size for Performance on 19"

Hi, guys.
I'm wondering what's the best tire size on 19" wheels in a performance aspect? (so not just drag racing, you know, more about tight cornering, braking, and less understeer)

wheels:
19x8.5 front
19x10 rear

Besides all the other issues like the stretch look and the rubbing issue.
Is it always the wider the better because wider tires give you more traction? (I heard wider tires will cost more understeer on the track...)

So please help.
What's the best tire size on the 19's perhaps on the track or auto cross racing?

I would say the biggest size you can get to fit without it rubbing. 19's wont leave you much room.

Not neccessarily wider, but more sidewall, meaning thicker, on a 19 inch wheel you wont have much of that to work with. I would try and get more sidewall over more width. Wider is better in the rear, but will increase unsprung weight (but with 19's you arent really worried about that anyways).

I have heard the wider tires more push rumor as well, but never seen it confirmed, I guess it also depends on if yo uare going to change the suspension and run lots of negative camber
(of course you wouldnt, at least with 19's).

It depends on what you are going to do with the car.
