I didn't get a garage. Is it worth it just for the shade? Can I add on a garage now? $40 for the garage for my 2 days
I was fine in the parking lot during the BMWCCA event there... can't imagine its going to be too warm late November.

Is this the first time you are running with Speed Ventures? Yes, you can add it, just shoot Aaron an email. The garage will get you out of the sun, away from the wind if any, and provide you with a power source if you need to charge up your camcorder or laptop computer. I am not sure how many are signed up for the garage, but we will try to save at least 10 spots that day as we have some Audi and MB guys coming along as well. Harold |

Crap... some of us, if not most, have already paid for the garages. If more people are able to join us that day, lets get them free garages and divide up the cost.

Sam, I don't know how you survived that CCA event out in the heat. I was dying in that sun that day. Have fun. Unfortunately, I have to work on this event.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Mr. 5, thanks for sharing. I'm anxious to get started in tracking my car and this event looks like the spot. I've never done a track day in my car and was wondering if I should start with autox or just go for a beginner group in an event like this Rovel? Any advice would be helpful.
By the way, I was at California Speedway last weekend for the Mario Andretti Racing School....what a blast. Did 157 mph on my own laps and close to 180 on the ride along...holy s balls that is fast! The cars are "Indy-style" race cars and have tons of grip. These were laps on the full oval only, no infield. I can't imagine trying that oval in my 335 at around 150. The back end would definitely be scooting as you drift up to the wall. The guy in your previous thread wondering why someone didn't max it out has no clue. At those speeds it starts to get serious. |

I recommend you run the Roval with the beginner group (with me on Sunday). The inside road track is a whole different and wonderful experience. I did it for the first time with BMWCCA in Sept. You will get a whole new appreciation for what your car can do.

Thanks for the response. If I can swing it for that weekend that will probably be my plan. It would be great to share this experience with other 335 owners. Hopefully you guys know more about my car than I do.

Signed up for Fri and Sat.
New to the Roval? Here's the boring student line at a comfortable pace. Notice the instructor riding shotgun? It's recommended. Highly. http://blip.tv/file/1314773/ |
