I got my Schedule. Open track all day on Friday.
and if I understand, as a Solo, I get to track with Advanced (A) group as well as Instructor (I) group on Saturday and Sunday.

That is fair and adequate.

Cold and windy on Friday. Open track all day. Very well run events. I am doing short stints of 15- 20 on, 30 minutes off. This way my brakes that would not last all 3 days might just make it after all.

Saturday, very wet in am, but dried up after 2 sessions. Still cold but no wind. 7 sessions of 30 minutes. (instructor and group A) but I am still managing my brakes therefore never staying longer than 20 minutes out there.

They are running a Race School at the same time (different sessions) and it looks like fun, all participants (students and instructors) are having a blast.

Today should be grand. I wish you could be here.

Oh and the seat + harness are phenomenal. Toute une différence.

How was the 5-6 hour drive trip in that seat? Murderous or not that bad finally? If only there was a way to swap seats fast....

Great weekend. Love my new setup. Going 150km/h through turn 8 now with HP street tires. What a rollercoaster of a track. Fastest track in North America. I got to spend a little (not enough) time with Gearhead999s and Al. Looking forward to seeing them at the Glen later in June with other usual suspects.

But it was cold. At least the sun showed up for a good part of the Sunday.

I went 2 wheels off in 5b no harm done.

I am trying not to make them feel that they are too generous. I wouldn't want them to diminish track time in the future seeing they gave too much this time.

But is there such a thing as too much track time?

Well, I suspected you were trying really really really hard to sound unimpressed with the track time, like "adequate". Made me laugh ....

Good to have dinner with you on Saturday night! That had to be one of the most fun weekends that I have had being an instructor. The Race Licence students as a group were great and having 8 sessions to go out and make their days hell was great! The BMW CCA format is great for people needing a race licence.

Quick question: Did they do exercises with emergency vehicles on track during a Race School session?

Sounds like a hoot. 150's is fast in the E46M3. The seat and harness really helps. Not to mention a cage to help stiffen the chassis a bit more. Warmer weather and NT01s would have been choice. Turn 4 and 5 are my favorites.

Lots of exercises including 3 abreast all the way round the track, late outside & inside passing, practice race starts & a mock race and lots of racecraft. As instructors we were out there to create situations that would challenge the students who really did well in handing the challenges that we threw at them.A lot more fun than I have had in a long time at the track.

Here is one the mock starts.

Just came back from Tremblant. Great day with Joel. Weather was great.. only one semi wet session.

My car went in Limp mode for a moment. Made it to the pit lane, Shut it off and re started it. All was fine.
