Yeah. I know the 01-02 years were prone to the rear subframe ripping and wasn't there a year range with rod or crank bearing issues? And no worries with smg, I'm a manual trans kinda guy.

I think anything before the 2003.5 model years had the crank bearing recall.

Hey all, I'm new here. I got a 2009 e93 and just moved to the central Ohio area. I'm finding the Ohio winter is not a place for a rear wheel drive car.

The exact reason I bought a 335xi. Where'd you move here from?

Oh yeah, I just got my car back yesterday from being at Kelly. The FRM module decided to take a shit on me. I was trying to bring my friend to the airport after a weekend visit and it just went haywire. No DRLs, windows wouldn't roll, no blinkers, no nothing. To code the FRM, they recoded my entire car, so now I've gotta redo everything, including the transmission and the CIC. :/

I moved from Louisiana, where if it went below freezing, you'd think it was the end of the world. I'm originally from MD though. My other vehicle is an FJ Cruiser and it handled the winter just fine.

I moved here from Houma in 2008. I'm born and raised in South Louisiana, lived there for 32 years, so you don't have to tell me about how we react to snow.

That's awesome. I really loved south Louisiana. I was in Shreveport. Best thing about Shreveport is that it wasn't Monroe. But I loved going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans with my wife and family. Even took my grandmother down Bourban Street. My wife's best friend was from Thibodaux which I believe is near Houma somewhere. I would trade the -12 degree winter here for the 115 degree summer there any day. Though my wife hates it here. How are you liking Ohio?

I hate it. I would much rather have to swim out of my living room than have to shovel my driveway. As far as the temperature goes, I've acclimatized and actually prefer the cooler weather to the heat and humidity. I can always put clothes on to keep warm, but you can only take so much off to cool down.

I've done some work for CenturyLink in Monroe, and yes... that place is a hell hole. I lived in NOLA for a number of years and moved back to Houma after Katrina, only to have my house blown down in Gustav 3 years later.

Thibodaux is close to Houma, in fact I went to college at Nicholls for a bit, as well as working in IT for the Lafourche Parish Public Library which is headquartered in Thibodaux. We used to go out in Thibodaux a lot as well just to get out of Houma and do something different without having to drive to NOLA.

Drove home to Akron for the weekend to visit the family, and we all decided we needed to take a family portrait!

Left to Right: 11 e92 335i xDrive Msport 6MT, 04 E85 z4 3.0i 6MT, 02 e39 540i Msport 6MT, 07 e92 328i xDrive 6MT (I think there is a pattern here... we love manual trasmissions haha)

Figured I'd share after they all got washed.

Anyone been keeping up with cars and coffee here in Cincinnati? I'd love to get down there and see the turnout each Saturday, but work has just been trying to suck the life out of me. If any of you go, be a doll and snap some pics to throw up in here please and

Do you ever go to Fuel Cars and Coffee? If I ever get down there again I would love to see what an RB car is like.

Unfortunately I havent made it down to a Cars and Coffee, but I plan to at some point in the future!

All I can say is, the RBs dont change the way the car drives at all, unless you mash on the gas pedal. Then it just rips and does not want to stop. Its very addicting.

I'd be up for a caravan some weekend. Just tough with a 1 year old. As long as I give wifey plenty of notice I think I can make it work!

I might actually be down there one of these next few weekends. Will keep you posted.

There was a huge turn out of E9x's here last weekend, and the weather for this Saturday looks perfect.
