Never run spacers before, so I'm a little confused.
Spacers are hubcentric and wheels are hubcentric. So, if the lip on the spacer is sliding over the lip on the hub, wouldn't that mean the spacer lip would be the same diameter as the wheel's centerbore? |

If the spacer is thin enough, the original hub ring sticks out past the spacer. For those that have their own hubcentric ring, the backside is machined to accept your OEM hub ring. Only potential issue is on some 10mm spacers, there wasn't enough room to machine the backside to accept the hub ring and it would bottom out before seating flush. But that was some time ago and I think all spacer companies have figured it out.
If you look at the backside of hubcentric spacers, there should be a step. So bigger hole for OEM hub, then it steps in for the hubcentric portion of the spacer. Last edited by shadow191; 03-21-2016 at 09:27 AM.. |
