Anyone have a DA and would be interested in giving some tips / let me come over and try using your polisher in exchange for a case of beer or something?

My passenger side was keyed twice in the same spot (ouch) and I'm just trying to clean it up a bit. Street parking hasn't been great to this car, and there are several scars that I'm dealing with.

I was able to use a co-worker's "palm polisher" to buff up a different spray can touch up paint repair, but the BMW paint is significantly harder and is taking much longer to make an improvement if anything.

I'm located in Boston, and something nearby would be great.

I hope the person who did this has a very bad month!

Thanks.. This actually happened over two occurrences. I filled in the deep scratch with a layer of touch up paint and then a day or so later the second scratch showed up. Almost feels personal, like they didn't like I started cleaning up the street art. Or just coincidence, bad luck, or whatever. There is a lot of work to be done to make these go away, and even with the right equipment "that's not gonna buff out".

I was able to improve the scratch a little bit, but the polisher I'm using has a hard time with cleaning up wetsanding marks (2000 grit) on the BMW paint. So I think I'll just finish up the wetsanding marks and call it good.

The curb rash and bumper marks already preclude the show car lifestyle

Hey man, that is terrible. I used to own a Detailing business and would be more than happy to help you out. I'm from Rhode Island but I'm sure we could work something out. Let me know
