That's a bit ridiculous. So the paint is more valuable than the M Drive Package and Executive package combined?

Reminds me of this:

holy crap, 10K colour.......

$2500-3500 Some Nice Coilovers/Exhaust
$2500 Some nice CF Hood
$2500 Some nice CF Trunk
$2500 Some nice replica rims with tires

Last time, I checked for E46 M3 Individual colour was $5000 including exterior and interior back in 2004 if I remember correctly, but definitely not over $8000.............

This color suited the E36 Very well.

im 50/50 on the E46,

But im not a fan of it on the E9X. To me the lines of the E9X doesnt look right with Dakar Yellow.

Otherwise I agree its a very rare color.

$9900 can't just be for the exterior paint colour... there has to be more... interior upgrades perhaps? I know the different coloured rims cost slightly more, but it can't be $9900 more. Crazy.

I can speak from my experience, The individual package on our 760Li included:

Azurite Black (similar to carbon black)
Platinum Merino Leather
Piano Fascia
Alcantara Headliner in Merino with hand stitching
Bi-Color Individual Steering Wheel
20" Individual Wheels / 20" M Cross Spoke Style 101 (2 piece BBS Wheels)

All of this together was around $22,000 on top of the $178,000 our 760Li retailed for back in 2003! Thats $200,000+Taxes.
However, to this day it stands out as a unique special vehicle. People always ask about it, even non enthusiasts who have little knowledge about cars.

Theres a price to be paid for being unique, and the $9,900 on the m3 is reasonable, when you consider the edition package:
Dakar Yellow Individual Color
Gloss Black 19" OEM Forged Wheels
Yellow Stitching in interior (very classy, exotic and rare on bmws, mostly seen in alpina edition bmws)
Gloss Black Front Grilles
Gloss Side Vents
Gloss Black Exhaust Tips
10mm Suspension drop (from factory)

So $9,900 on a $82595 car (including all other options) is around a 12% premium, so I think its reasonable for someone who wants a unique looking m3!
Moreover, if you equate the $22,000 premium on a $178,000 760Li, it comes out to approx 12% as well

Its the sheer ignorance and lack of knowledge people have these days that still amazes me, heres something to think about!

I clearly mentioned that the $22,000 for the individual package was on top of the $178,000, which equates to $200K + taxes

All V12 uber sedans have these kind of prices:
