New Member Here/Project Process

Hello, My names Rossi. Currently work for my local BMW as a "Genius" or what you could say is a product specialist. Traded in my 2006 Jetta for a 2011 328i Manual, and regret nothing. It's Alpine White with Dakota Chestnut Brown Leather Interior. Car has CA, iDrive w/ Nav, BMW Assist, etc.
I figure I'll use this to start my build post.
So here's the car -
Before my tag came in

Out at Fixxfest

Ejecto Seato, cuz

Driveway shot

**EDIT
Going to lower it a little, nothing major. Will probably do lowering springs. as far as wheels go I'm looking more at aftermarket options, applying for sponsorships, really want a good 3 piece or low offset concave monoblock wheel. Then get a single piece front lip and trunk lid spoiler, intake, exhuast, get xenon headlights, and that should be it.

My shift knob was a little ratty, I went ahead and put my Grip Royal Beer Tap Shifter in. Shot in a new color, as the black was scraped and very faded. Went ahead and sanded it down to the wood and prepped for spray
Molten Red Metallic with a Midnight Black Metallic fade, Clear coated with a Pearlizer.
BTW, I'm sure I'll receive all types of hate for this, but please remember this is my project, and does not affect you in anyway. If that's hard for you to understand you will be ignored.

**EDIT** THIS KNOB WAS MEANT TO BE TEMPORARY. THERE IS CURRENTLY A BURLWOOD/LEATHER KNOB ON.
SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THIS EARLIER

Second post and your thread is already going downhill, you are driving a BMW now, beer tap shifters don't belong in them...

And yes I know its your project and what you like, but you have posted on a global forum, so you must be willing to hear other peoples opinions.

In any case, enjoy your car and congrats on the trade up from your VW

You can put a broom on the shifter for all I care, I'm just glad it's a manual.

Its more comfortable for me, tbh. I just don't want to follow the crowd and do the same thing every other Bimmer owner does.

Please don't tell us you put a short-shift kit in it - LOL

Better to follow the bmw crowd than the ricer crowd with beer tap shifters. But hey, whatever works for you.

I know we are all adults here but using a dildo/butt plug as a shift knob is weird.

Nice car, I'm not going to "hate" in regards to the shift knob, but would like to point out that I personally do not like the style, and feel like it has no place in a medium end luxury BMW

Welcome! It is your build and you do as you please. People will love it or hate it...at the end of the day it's all about how you feel about it. However, I would be afraid to tilt my head down to look at my radio and risk poking my eye out... Be careful with that!!

I've never heard of a beer tap as a shift knob/lever.

Must be a millennial thing....

Would an accurate prediction for your next mods be: stretched tires, extreme negative camber, and a small stuffed animal zip tied to your rear bumper?

Thats the thing to do these days here in Phoenix.

OP should have kept the VW for that. Fits that crowd perfectly.
