A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

alrighty then.....
there's not a single dent on my car and it's detailed annually. Babied. It's mint inside and out. Stored winters.... Meaning this is a crappy picture of my car and the reflections in the image make it look like its been its been in a hail storm or worse? I kinda liked all the distorted images and reflections in the picture. Eye of the beholder I suppose

My apologies for being so obstinate. I hand wash this car at least once a week, and I've never seen that spot. So I just went out to the garage and.... WHAT???
It doesn't look anywhere as bad as that picture at the moment, in fact almost impossible to see. But you're right, there's something there. I think the angle I took that picture must have been the perfect angle to spot it. And it seems much smaller than that picture now , I wonder if there's some flex in the panel that allows it to do that. And I had a PDR guy out here in June to fix a small dent in one of my other cars..... Miracle workers! This will have to go on my list Anyway, thanks for pointing it out. It will bug me until I get it fixed

I have 84K miles on my 2005 E46 ZHP convertible, and.. Efthreeoh - you've got me paranoid! I can see that spot in this early spring image now too. Yikes!! Time for an eye exam....
My low mileage gem is a 2008 E92 with only 21K miles.....

Per the signature, I'm an addict. Other than the e90s:
2001 M Roadster (aka Z3M) with 223k miles. Needs a paint job and a new fabric top, but I restored everything else over the last 2 years. 2003 e46 325xiT wagon. Winter beater with a manual transmission, and the family utility vehicle.

In addition to the E90, I own an E31 850i, with a 6 speed manual. It’s a basket case (sat for many years), but I’m slowly sorting it out…
Has 123,000 miles. Black/black, fully optioned (has EDC and even came with a car phone!) |

aside from the 2011 e93 M3, my daily driver is a 2003 e46 approaching 176,000 miles. still looks good and drives great! been an excellent car with no major malfunctions.

I park my 328i in the driveway, as it is my daily. Here is my garage.
On the left I have my E91 LCI M3 conversion. S65 engine, 6mt. Took about six months to build and have the shop fabricate the body, put the carbon roof on, and paint it. Everything about it is stock, OEM-like. On the right I have my E92 M3 GT built by Team Schirmer. Ordered it from them and they shipped it over from Germany after about a year build time. Stroked S65 to 4.4L, completely built engine putting down approx. 500whp naturally aspirated, with DCT transmission. Fully overhauled track suspension and gutted interior, BBS E88 wheels, GTS wing, full race cage.
