I'm a 19 year old college student working towards a Computer Science and Engineering degree, thinking about a minor in applied mathematics. I work about 35-40hrs a week at Target and also do iPhone repairs on the side. I pay for my own gas, insurance, and car payments. Oh and I also pay for my own mods

22 years old, paid my bills since my parents divorce, im a mechanical production tech. For carmax, which is a fancy way of saying im a very fast technician... i love what i do with all my heart so who cares about money, i tell people all the time, "if you're a brain surgeon who hates his job, you will be miserable" so love what you do, no matter how big or small! And feel free to pm me any questions you think i can help with
(On a side note, my co-worker, who is also a tech, has been with the company 15 years and makes well over 140k a year, so thats my goal hahaha but like i said loving what you do doesnt hurt) on another side note, i think this thread is the friendliest thread since i joined hahaha

I couldn't agree more. If you really love what you do, you don't have to "work" another day in your life. And I also agree with your sentiment about this thread. Nobody is bashing anyone... unlike those racing or [X model vs. Y model] threads that always get out of hand.

Executive for a global healthcare company with responsibility for global manufacturing. I have a Bachelor in Electromechanical Engineering and a Masters in Computer Science. I travel all over the world. My travel takes me to some exotic places. I love what I do - like others said "when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life."

Financial Analyst in the restaurant industry. Got my finance degree from Northeastern University. Going to be 28 in a few weeks with a wife and a kid on the way so I'm in the market for a sweet Recaro baby seat that will match the interior of my 335i!

So true! I only know a handful of folks that are doing what they graduated with. All are Doctors, Pharmacist or lawyers (this is slowly going away too). I knew a lot of Engineers but since then have moved on to other things. It's crazy!

Ivy League grad, Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Started my career at Bell Telephone Laboratories in NJ (which dates me, I suppose) and went through the divestiture, break ups, and eventual recombinations of much of the old Bell System: Bell Labs to AT&T Corp (not to be confused with today's AT&T Inc) to Lucent Technologies to Avaya. Currently managing R&D and product management of electrical connectors used in LANs for a large connector company in the Chicago 'burbs.

I'm 20 years old and currently a student at the University of Colorado - Boulder. I'll officially be a Junior in August and I'm majoring in Finance.
I own a small business in the automotive industry which I am always working on and work for a furniture company during the summers while I'm in Texas. I'm also big into investing in the stock market as a Finance major! I got my 535i about 3 years ago and picked up an e90 335i just over a month ago!
