Coils got replaced once with Delphi units and spark plugs get replaced every 3rd oil change. It's cheap 50 bucks insurance. So I replace the plugs once a year actually. But yes they are totally diy

'07 335i with 64k miles, had Cobb stage2+ for a while now.

Things done/replaced

-Turbos
-HPFP
-Walnut blasting
-Spark plugs & coil packs
-Waterpump
-Brake pads + rotors
-Oil filter housing gasket
-new battery

That is about it, still way cheaper than maintenance on the C63 so far. But am anticipating replacing all injectors, the thermostat, clutch, & shocks in the near future, which would be a hefty bill

Was replacing the window seal trim a hard job? I need to repair mine. My window cowl is loose and water is leaking into my passenger floor, a.c. blower just went out cause of it too :/

I'm at about 118k on my '11 335i I bought 4 months ago.

Here's what's been changed
Previous owner: PS pump, OFHG, Water pump, VANOS bolts (broke pre recall)
Me: All fluids, Intake valve cleaning, Spark Plugs, Clutch/PP/rear main seal, serp belt + tensioner + idler pulleys, Charge Pipe (plastic one broke), JB4

From the spark plug change, I know I have an oil leak to the spark plugs, so valve cover is next on my list. No leaks externally and I really didn't need to do the rear main seal but did anyway since I was basically there with the clutch swap.

Not at all. There are DIY vids on YouTube and of is t exactly your same model, they're all similar steps to follow. It should help solve some of your problem and noticeable looks better too.

2011 328i, 73k km, N51 engine. I'm the 3rd owner.

Had two issues that were done in January:
1. Serpentine belt slipped too far off tensioner, got new belt and tensioner.
2. Transmission shift shaft oil seal leaked, had to get that repaired.

Original manufacturer battery was replaced last November.

Minor issue - One of the air vent knob broke, had to take out vent and glue it back together and put it back into the vent.

Besides that everything else is pretty good in the 10 minutes I owned the car.

06 325i e90 titanium silver 96k miles. I had it for 6 years and it had 45k miles when I got it.

Only breakdown ever was the ac compressor locked up and broke the pulley. I got it going temporarily by using a shorter belt bypassing the ac. This car has been very reliable.

Maintenance
Front wheel bearings, battery, brakes, spark plugs, cabin filters, belt tensioner and idler pulleys, oil changes (every 7k), oil filter housing gasket, coolant, 3 sets of tires, 1 door lock actuator, and 1 window regulator.

Mods/upgrades
Forgestar f14 sdc wheels, drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads, bc coils, lci xenon headlights, gloss black grills, mtech front bumper, custom 335i cluster and matching climate control, and many audio upgrades.
