Lightbulb LCI rear axle retrofit?

I'm reading that the E90 had a handling upgrade during the LCI release.

"The rear axle has been widened by 24mm, to give a wider stance and better stability and traction"

Has anyone with a Pre-LCI E90 done this?

To my knowledge is only 8mm per side, so 16mm total. It has been done but to fit F30 brakes and not for better stability and traction. What a silly statement lol. It that is what you are after look into better suspension and tires.

^ +1. This is not a worthwhile upgrade. What are you hoping to accomplish?
