BMW Navigation Screen Resetting

I have a 2007 BMW 335i. Just recently I had an issue where my navigation display was resetting every couple of minutes. It will turn black and boot back up, no other issues with any other display in the car. I also just received notice that my driver's headlight is also out. Unsure if these two were connected, I took this to a mechanic to switch the bulb. He said that it looks like it is an electrical problem. Does anyone know what could cause these two problems? Anything recommendations before I take this to a BMW certified mechanic?

First thing to check is battery voltage .
Battery Life is about 6 years on these .
Low battery can cause all kinds of ghost problems.
