Sound Issues with Android 10.25"
Hello,
I recently bought one of the many Android units that can be found here I see a lot of ya'll have gotten them successfully installed with little to no issues. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...74344c4d1G4pb2 I went to a shop to get it installed yesterday; the install looked good, and for a moment the sound was good. I played it through bluetooth from my phone and it worked no problem, and it was easily able to switch back to FM from AUX As I drove off, halfway home I began to hear a constant clicking noise in my speakers, and the radio would randomly cut off and I'd have to press the Audio button to get the sound back on again. Now after getting home and turning the car off and on, the sound on my radio doesn't work at all, but the clicking noise still persists with the radio on. Some more things to note, is now a No SOS error shows up when starting my car, and both the steering wheel controls as well as the menu button on my radio no longer work. I called up the guy who installed my radio and he said that the Android itself might be defective because "that can happen with cheap Chinese radios" I'm not gonna be too biased just yet but it sounded like an excuse to me. I have a 2011 328i with a Logic 7 AMP. If anyone has any ideas how I could go about troubleshooting this it would be a big help, and if I do find a solution I will post it here if anyone else runs into a similar problem. UPDATE: I’m not ruling it out just yet but I think the issue may be related to my car battery, and I’m going to test the voltage and post an update when I do; after running the car for a bit and then going back to it an hour later the radio and audio started working again but the clicking sound still persists UPDATE 2: Car Battery is not the issue, measures 12.45V with engine off. I will check the fiber optic connections to the radio next to see if anything is loose. Last edited by matteo101man; 05-20-2021 at 03:41 PM.. |

The first think I would think of is the Fiber OPtic cable fell out of the
back of the OEM Radio or some other place under the Dash like the test point. Or something is loose. SOS error indicates break in the Most Bus. You get what you pay for. |

I had the same issue with sound after the install and ctuna is right. The issue was with the wrong Fiber Optic cable connection. Need to unplug it from its original place and put it into the another that was with your dashboard. But I still have the same issue that steering wheel controls are not working. Any ideas what it could be? |
