Hi All,

I've just done a cic retrofit on my 2996 e90. Navi is greyed out and I can't patch it as seems my software version is not c1a. Anyone know someone, somewhere, any where that I can get someone with ICOM etc to upgrade the software to c1a so I can patch and hack in the codes to unlock Navi?

ICOM software flashes are not easy or cheap to get. You may want to consider adding a carplay/android auto box to just take care of the nav. It is an easy install and a big upgrade for the nav.

I forget the exact version but before C1A it wasn't necessary to patch the OS. You can generate OEM FSC codes for any VIN and just write those with FSC Tool v2 or whatever the tool is. The codes cost ~$20 if I remember correctly. You get all of them generated

I can't quite remember the exact steps but we did our e93 via FTP, then set the folder on the CIC to read only so that the unit couldn't overwrite the file again.
It took less than a few minutes to do
