Just put an 2011 N51 engine in a 2009 N52 Bmw

Hello everyone,

I had a blown motor in my 2009 328i N52 and I had a 2011 N51 engine with low miles just sitting around so I decided to give the engine swap a try.

I have everything swapped over. I kept the same N52 ECU, Wire Harness, intake manifold, and esentric shaft sensor.

When I go to start I am getting high rpm and very rough running then engine shuts down.

From my research I believe I need to tune the new N51 engine to N52 compression?

Any information on this is appreciated!

It's a direct swap. Check your vac connections and SAP port cover plate on the head.

Where in FL ?
