Blowby heater elbow connection melting
Check engine light is on and mixture control 1 and 2 fault codes come up (29E0, 29E1) I did some snooping around and noticed the PCV blowby heater elbow melted as the recall mentioned might happen. It unfortunately looks like it maybe melted a hole in the breather hose and also possibly ruined one of the screw holes for its mounting.
I am going to replace the hose and have to repair the electrical connector as well. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...-12527507529kt My question is do you think the intake manifoldis still usable? If the hole is too loose / threads melted how would I go about fixing that? Epoxy? |

I believe this problem is address by safety recall campaign No. 2022-095 (11 80 22RC) in Canada. Contact your local BMW dealer. I know a friend who had the heater melt into the manifold and the dealer replaced the whole manifold at their cost. The parts for this recall have been on back order for months, so are in a good position.
