WANT. Want want want.
Bugger the 4 coupe.
If the "M2" looks even a smidgeon as good as this render on 2addicts, I'm placing an order. http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=785425 WOW. Dave

M4 looks absolutely stunning I can't wait, didn't even know this was in the pipeline. It's just a smaller version looks just as good.
I reckon the limited 1m was just a taster of what's to come, seems like the natural evolution. And it will be stunning considering what they achieved with the 1m and m135i |

Can't wait to see the final design in the flesh. Love the renders so far.
Shame it's going to be out of my budget for a few years |

The 4 will be out of budget but if the M2 is "just a step" above the 1 series M costs (say circa 45k new) then I think we're looking at used values after a year of mid 30s.
Furthermore, I expect to see sub £350 lease deals on the M2 as well if that is the kind of price. Which is (at least for me ... ) a damn sight less than I pay right now and therefore ticks both the key boxes: 1. Achievable 2. There's a USP to convince the other half it's a good idea! The M4 on the other hand? If they are really talking 60s for one of those when the M5 is only 70 something then I really can't justify it. Plenty will buy them. But not I. Maybe I'd look at a 2 year old one of those, who knows. The absolute most I'd ever splurge on a car is 40 - with my current circumstances. One way or the other. Which reminds me, I was looking at Baby Astons the other day which can be had for significantly less than that now!! Tempting until I looked up what the gearbox costs when (yes, when. It will happen) it does. Circa a third of the value of the car. Oh well. Also - they weigh so much that on a very good dry road they aren't much quicker off the line than the 335d anyway.. hah. (Flame suit on)

Guys let put looks aside for one second. We are still risking the possibility of run flat wankery with super soft hydro bushes and crap crashy ride. If that is the case. Then seriously I'm out. However if it rides well and handles great then why not

It won't come with run flats the M cars never have (as far as I'm aware? )

No, I agree. Even though I've owned one. I had to do one hell of alot before I felt it looked "right". Very bland from the factory.
The F10 5er being the first real notable exception. The F30 is "ok" too, but both the 2 and 4 look staggeringly better than the 3 in the shots of them I've seen so far, IMHO..
