Will E92 tailights fit an E93???

There are some aftermarket LCI style taillights on ebay but the seller says they fit E92 only. The ad specifically states that they will not fit convertibles. I emailed the seller and he said they convertibles have a different shape and won't physically fit. I know that the 4 doors are way different but I thought that all 2 doors were the same for taillights, coupe or convertible. My car is a 2008 335i convertible if that matters.

They won't fit. Slightly different shape.
