This little deal did the trick!

Awesome! Glad to hear! It sucks how just a bit of electrical noise can cause such hardship and pain! Glad you got it though!

Now, time to cruise with some tunes! Then back into a nice comfy parking spot!! Haha

That looks super clean but I have heated seats and that's a separate switch panel under the IHKA panel. So I don't think that setup would work.

The Dynavin comes with the replacement ashtray panel to relocate the heated seat buttons, you can see it in his pictures above the ashtray..

Metra also makes a kit to relocate them and gives you a basic tray in the lower location.

You can get an LCI climate control panel and then you don't need to relocate the heater seat buttons

The Kenwood comes with HD radio. I don't think the new Dynavin N7 Pro has HD radio.

The included ashtray replacement which has room to insert the heated seat buttons is really easy to install. The only trick is getting the lighter plug out of the original ashtray.
Just push hard with a slotted screw driver in the notch on the back it fits in. There's a ribbon cable that connects the seat buttons to the climate control unit. It fits right behind the bottom of the relocated climate controls and isn't noticeable. It's long enough that you can plug it in without hassle.

It does not match the regular trim finish, but does match the stereo/climate control surround black. After a day, I didn't even notice it -- it blends right in. Buttons are still easy to reach/press.

I know this is an old thread but if you have replaced the head unit or are ready to upgrade I would like to take this one off your hands. I can't find it anywhere anymore (at a reasonable price)

Jumping onto this thread to provide an update on Dynavin.

I have been looking for a high quality upgrade for my 2010 E90 with CarPlay support. I find many eBay listings (and other sites) pretty sketchy with poor representations of photos of the product on obviously the wrong vehicle, not enough detail re adding a rear camera, etc.

A while back, a friend installed a Dynavin N7 in his Audi TT. Works very well, so looking at Dynavin for my car. Unfortunately the D8 series is not compatible with iDrive. https://www.dynavin.de/en/products/p...eries-e90-e93/

However, I was in touch with Dynavin (end of Jan 2024); they are working on a unit that is iDrive compatible and should be available "in a few months".

Will post an update if/when I know more.
