KW V1... issues with low low?

Had my KWs V1s for about 2 years now and 10,000 miles on my XI. I see a lot of guys have these on E90s. Question is do any of you have problems with the strut itself when you are threaded all the way down (low as possible) on the fronts? Specifically with the strut itself not the obvious stress we put on axles, joints etc. Mainly curious if i am risking a potential blown strut putting that much stress on the strut itself. No leaks to speak of so far.... seems as if i hit bump stops before the strut bottoms out on large bumps but i am no expert.

Yes this is one of the problems with KWs. They have fully threaded strut bodies but by lowering that low, you are setting the struts outside of the valving range. They will wear prematurely.

The lowest you can go with KWs is really only an inch or two lower than the OEM sport suspension.

If you lower past that, don't even bother trying to get KW to warranty them. It's very easy to tell where the height has been set and they will deny the warranty.

Recently replaced KW Series 1 with new Series 2. Had the car slammed, and both fronts blew the seals. Sending them to KW to get rebuilt, and going to sell them. Car is now a bit lower than stock, but a lot higher than previously. No longer cringe at speed bumps, and steep driveways!

Interesting. not exactly the news I wanted to hear but I guess I will have to take into consideration picking it up a bit.

I got them at about 10,000. Now at 85,000, so 75K.
