FS: N52 Mass Airflow Sensor

I bought this thinking I had an issue with my MAF however soon realized my issue was a separate vacuum leak... as my original MAF is working, I am selling this MAF that I purchased a month ago at GermanParts.ca for $350

My loss is your gain. I am selling well under purchase price.

Price : 150

Out of curiosity, what were your symptoms and how'd you find the vacuum leak?

I had a an erratic idle when in park or in drive at a stop. I also had lean codes when scanning with inpa and then more recently a p1415.

I changed the maf, plugs, air filter and ran a bottle of fuel injector cleaner with no luck. Finally got it smoke tested and a leak was detected in one of the vacuum hoses.

Which hose was the culprit if you don't mind me asking?

Part number is 5wk97502z

And the vacuum leak was the hose connecting to ccv.

Sometimes air fuel error codes are from the MAF connector and not the actual sensor. I was trouble shooting similar lean/rich error codes for about a half a year until I came upon this thread:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=905209

I followed the instructions and changed my connectors and haven't had an error code yet! I believe if you snapped your MAF connector clip (pretty common) the missing material lets in additional moisture which compromises the connection causing the error codes. Worth a read, saved me tons of troubleshooting dollars chasing the annoying codes.

I had read that post as well and changed my connector before figuring out it was the vacuum leak : )

A lot of work before finding the solution
