I saw it in the E46 forums for seven years and it's the same in the E9X forums. After buying my 325Cic, the 330i and ZHP owners seemed to look down on us a little, I can only imagine how the M3 owners feel about us but we all buy our cars for different reasons. In hindsight, I would have been just as happy with an 328 coupe but the one owner 6MT car was too seductive for me. I say, own what you have, keep it maintained and enjoy it.

Boo, there is literally nothing offensive about what you wrote.

N52s are blessed with not having to worry about tire spin.

This reminds me of 2007-08 and the 328 v 335 flame wars. One guy jumped in saying I have a 325, I might as well shoot myself lol he was just kidding.

We're too lowly for Chad to speak to us. It doesn't matter how on top some of us think we are, Chad is always superior.

Fine, wasn't it a 328 owner that created a line of 328 accessories? The product line consists of fake fender vents, hood bulge, rear diffusers with a dummy exhaust tip and M3 badges?

A 328i is a want to be 335i. Just like a e90 is a want to be e91 and a e92 a want to be e93. The e90 328I being the bottom of the barrel.

The e90 323 here in Canada, now that's the bottom of the barrel.

I dont know with that hard top i’d say it’s more the E93 wants to be an E92 especially with our 500lb weight savings

I don't think anyone with a e93 thinking they wish there top stayed closed. But I can see how those e92 look at e93 with envy. And if you are in a 335 you are slow no matter what chassis you drive. Well until you hit 500hp but that's another subject.

I drove an E46 325Cic for nearly seven years, I got that out of my system...no envy on my part.

Oh you don't care what I say? Well that gives me more motivation in this thread to say it: the n54 builds boost by the mid 1000's rpm range and has more torque at ANY given rpm (ignoring 7200-8400rpm) than the s65. So in terms of 'lag' I'm not sure how you can assert that the n54 has lag compared to either other engine when you gotta rev an s65 to the moon to get any power out of it.

There was a good comment someone made about how he hasn't even considered suicide over his e90 in response to the acceleration of the 328 being 'unbearable'

Anyways in the spirit of this thread the N54 is the best e9x powerplant and the only reason to get even an M3 over a 335 is the cf roof and rear quarters. I love it when I take M3's to the GAP and love it even more when I run around laguna seca faster than them.

Can't really think of any reason to get an n52 other than affordability

It means you need to turn in your man card and purchase some tampons

Too true

Honestly I really like the 93, must be nice to drop the top. But I just couldnt accept the weight tax personally, our platform isnt exactly the lightest

There will always be turbo lag. With the twins it is decreased vs most setups but it will always exist.

This guy explains better than I could.

e9x owners tend to talk a lot of shit about the other powerplants considering we are all driving the same 10yr old shit boxes that anyone could afford
