Well shit. I also used to own a diesel smart. My wife told everyone I was under compensating. Guess I should just accept it and wear a dress.

Ever since I did the charcoal delete and installed a K&N filter, I’m usually going way too fast to get a good look at the N54 graveyard on the side of the road.

It’s become clear to me after 3 years on this board that there’s an epidemic of little dicks and the cure is... Turbochargers!

Sorry guys, I drive a n52 cause my dick is already big

I had to search out this gem because "chipotle burrito mod" is a real thing on 7.3 Powerstrokes (insulating the hot side charge pipe). This is worth the entire price of admission on this forum and then some. I especially liked the helpful tips from others, like them dope burrito wrapper tailpipes.

I am fat and sloppy, but I like to pretend chicks still dig me. I'm on a high carb diet and every time I pull the vanity cover on my 335 and see all those hoses I want pasta, so that helps. It's OK because it's high-performance fuel, and some1 else will clean up the mess, from walnut blasting my valves to putting a stent in my artery.

Am I doing this right stewbets ?

You have to use the same source to compare 0 to 60 times and mentioned both in this car and driver review. The 335 is 4.8 and 330 is 5.6 so 8/10 of a second is accurate, both being slow. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...ake-road-test/

Thanks Tuna, that's exactly where I got my numbers from. The 6.2 number Smgs cites for the 330i is from Motor Trend. BTY, the 325i E90 is 6.1 sec to 60. All times are from Car and Driver tests of manual transmission'd E90s...

I was originally going to cite the difference as 800 milliseconds, but I thought that might confuse you.

The N52 was designed for wusses who prefer reliability over performance. The girly men who drive them secretly wish they could man up and take on a real challenge.
So in other words those of us that can appreciate lasting a long time vs someone who likes to be a flash in the pan?

I'm sure your girlfriend/boyfriend can explain the difference to you.

At the risk of sounding too serious for my own joke of a thread, I've got to say that comparing stock times is a little silly when one of these engines is a novice tuner's dream. A couple bolt-ons and a tune will significantly widen the gap for not a significant amount of cash. That's the sole reason I bought mine. To me, a stock N54 is so much wasted potential.

yeah of course, unless you have a electric motor (hybrid) or sc and a turbo.

but owning both audi small turbo engine and a n55, bmw did a great job with the n55 (stock) and the twinscroll turbo. The 6 cyl keep a nice performance when not spooling, then it spool fast, and it dies late.

N54 could achieved that if TT were sequential, but its not the case, they are parallel.

at the end still want to own one of the worst audi engine and get rid of my n52 for a n54 single setup

Yup, it's because people are stupid and can't do their own research. I knew of all the potential problems with both platforms before I ever test drove either of them.
