I love it as well.

So basically we do know that the tail and front lights will be different than the current e90? (sorry for the newbie question, been away for a while...)

I wish the sedan had the same rear as this coupe. These coupe lights have a wider stance and are appropriately sized to aid in the cars appearance. Simply cooler! And don't forget the LEDs!

I don't have photoshop, and if I did I would probably never figure out how to use it. Could some one change the color of the above picture to black and change the window surround to chrome?

Thanks

Is that an M3?

An M3 would usually have that little vented opening ahead of the door and behind the front wheel arch as well wouldn't it? But, then again, this is probably a mule.

If you look closely at the pics, I think it has the vents (see circle). They are just coverd by camo. Note the bumpy paint around the side marker...

I wonder whats all the fuss about the "side vents". In the M6 the "side vents" are just a decoration, no holes etc. Might just be the same with the M3. So, they just didn't stick that part on the car! And, Ok, let's say it isn't the M3, what is it then? A modded 3-series coupe? The 335i will come out with dual tail pipes. All M cars have quad tail pipes, so, when a BMW camo car comes out and has quad tailpipes, its 99.99% it's an M!

That is interesting idea... at the time when audi designs naturally aspirated engine to be more sporty and responsive and catch on BMW... the BMW creates turbo six which is lghter and improves handling! (and doesn't have the turbo lag... hopefully )

Hey everyone. New member here

I think the car looks fantastic. I'm just a little disheartened that it won't feature LED lights, as I fell in love with these on the E46 Coupe. I think whoever said it is probably right; BMW will release them in the next facelift. I suppose all pre-facelift owners will be able to swap their existing rear clusters over for the LED ones, like many have done with the E46. I wonder if BMW have made the right decision though, as apparently the Audi A5 will have LEDs. I'm not sure, but the 5-Series, 6-Series and 7-Series appear to have LEDs, or do they? The 3-Series Saloon's (sorry, Sedan )rear lights look plain, without any actual reference to the shape of them. I hope that the E92 has a more exciting finish like the 5/6/7er. Another thing I'm not sure of is the boot part of the rear clusters. I would prefer the lights to stay off the boot altogether. And the headlights.. looking great. Does anyone remember the 3 photos we saw of the E92 in White in the snow which we thought was completely unmasked but later found out was a chop? Take a peek:

Well I love the interpretation of the headlights in this photo. They have a smoked lens and really finished off the car beautifully. I hope that BMW go for that, but bet that they won't. I like this smoked look so much that I'll probably have this modded later!

Just my thoughts

It's also coming to the end of March now and it's quite clear that everybody is getting a little fed up of the wait. Not that this will affect sales in the slightest. But it is a tad annoying now. I think it would be a terrible decision on their part to announce it now seeing as they E46 Coupe is still in production. I mean, come on, who exactly would buy the E46 after seeing the new Coupe and finding out all the new toys that will be available in it? No one IMO. Unfortunatley, if this is the thinking of BMW, we won't get official word of the new Coupe until May, or whenever the E46 Coupe officially ceases production.

So more waiting I reckon. In the meantime, I hope BMW decide to add some funk to those rear lights and give us the LEDs. Lot's of manufacturers are bringing out cars with LEDs so it's not exactly THAT much of a novelty anymore - and after having it in the E46 Coupe, isn't it a little unfair to deprive us of it now? I mean as far as I can remember we were the first to have LEDs and now we're back to normal? Stepping back isn't good

Thanks all. Keep the photos coming.

BMW has officially said that the new M3 will have a 4Lt V8 derivative of the V10 featured in the M5/M6 and that the I6 turbo will be featured in the 335i. The new m3 will have AT LEAST 415hp (what I believe) because of the direct competition of the RS4 which has 420hp and now, it's 4WD system sends 70% of the power to the back.

Oi mate! Well I agree that not putting LED's is a tad annoying but I believe that they shall use fiber optic, which is regarder as better technology, but has shorter life span. Anyway, I have to say that not having LED tailights in a car should not put you off by buying it, let alone when that car is a BMW. And , as we all know, we buy BMW's because they are the ultimate driving machine

More New Pics

More computer generated pics, which look pretty close to the PS we were JUST messing with. I absolutely love the taillights...looks MUCH better than the e90.
