Intake or Exhaust?
Hey guys,
Here is what I want to achieve. Maybe you guys can help me out. I want to improve the sound of my 325xi inside the car and outside also. But I don't want to make it too loud that I will get annoyed I bought it after a few months. So I need something that doesn't drone at cruising rpms, and maybe relatively quiet under 3k-3500k rpm. I only want to buy one since that's all my funds allow for. I really don't care about the power gain, i want to buy one of these for purely sound. My options seem to be: 1) AFE Intake 2) Bimmian CF Intake 3) RE Ikon Exhaust Remember I don't want it too loud but something that's actually audible vs the stock exhaust which is very quiet. Any help would be appreciated. Other options are welcome. |

Go for GruppeM intake. So far most ppl are happy with this intake and very famous. Not too loud, but it sounds like M5 tho.

Buy a 330 intake which allows your car to breath easily..

Hmm. Well everyone has different advice so maybe I should have made a Poll.
Right now my plans are 162/CSL Reps, maybe a drop cause i have an xi, and then this intake/exhaust, and then an ecu flash sometime in the future. Then I'm done modding...hopefully. |

I agree, but I'm getting the ECU upgrade way down the road. Not now...more like 1-2 yrs+. I might not even get it. So lets's say I can get either an intake or exhaust for my last mod. I looked at the Eisenmann Sport but that's pertty much stock. Unfortuanately, they don't have that Meistersfcikasf Valve Control for the 325 .
So I want it to sound better to me inside w/o getting annoying over time, and sounding good outside would also be good. |

Would the exhaust/sound outside the car get any louder or deeper by just adding an intake like the Simota or GruppeM?
