A 2007 LCI?

Hi all,

My brother is in the market for an E91 and just sent me this link:

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=321703282837

It says a 2007 LCI with WTCC rims?

I know they're wrong about the alloys but is it an LCI or had it just had an LCI conversion?

I notice it's a CAT C so I'm assuming so, but I'd be pretty naffed off if I bought it then found out it was actually the older model with a facelift!

Can anyone confirm?

It's a pre-lci that has had a lci front end conversion. You can see the rear lights and wing mirrors are still pre-lci. If I had to guess I would say the front end was totalled (hence the cat c) and it was repaired using lci parts.

That's a pre-lci bud you can tell by the back lights 👍

Ahh true, I didn't notice the rears

I thought as much but I was doubting myself due to the CIC, start-stop, telematics, connected drive etc!

Looks like someone's gone all out on the rebuild! (Minus the rear lights :-p )

Thanks guys!

There's no iDrive on that car...

And WTCC? They're the pretty much standard M Sport MV3s.

I hate these kinds of adverts, ALL of this is standard:

Push Button Start
Dynamic brake control/ stability control/ traction control
Deluxe Dual Zone Climate Control with Air Conditioniong
Front/side airbags
Electrically Operated Windows (x4) and Mirrors
Parking sensors (rears only, which this has)
Exterior lighting pack with LED lights Under each door handle, light when locked or unlocked.
Auto lighting Coming/Leaving home function

Dodgy advert, or wrong car pictured etc, I'd avoid/assume it's a base model.

It's had the LCI radio and heater panel fitted, hopefully they've been coded to work with the Pre-LCI, the rest of the interior is Pre-LCI.

I'd hazard a guess that the car is practically base model personally. No chance you'll get those MPG figures either. 50mpg max extra urban. No idea what button he is talking about for economy.

You're absolutely right...No Nav!...God knows how I missed that!

I (politely) emailed the seller to let him know that the car isn't actually an LCI although he has stated "it's the newer LCI model" (and provided all the info relating to an LCI), nor does it have the WTCC alloys, I-Drive, Connected Drive or Telematics.

I said I'm just letting you know so that you don't end up with an "item not as described" case opened against you...

He replied:

"if they not stupid they should know it been conversion and over 100 message i had in last 4 days none of them saying that tihs car lci model coz they were knows"

Imagine driving 200 miles to go and collect this car and finding out its missing half the features you were expecting!

We should all ask him questions about the Nav system

He felt the need to make up stuff and list 4x electric windows because there is not much spec at all to talk about.

To be fair, anyone who buys this is probably as thick as the current owner so they will be in good company

Where it's probably had a front smash they have just put lci parts on it instead. May as well if your doing it I guess.

My previous car was registered on virtually the same day as that! It was NOT an LCI, but it WAS the "efficient dynamics" model that seemed to arrive around the same time that the engine changed from 163 to 177 bhp.

Maybe the seller means that?

The bonnet is a strange one. It looks stone-chipped, so maybe the front end was replaced when the car was re-built. Those models in decent condition are fetching pretty good money these days, so if it was a write off, there must have been a bill in excess of c£7k to repair it.

If the OP is keen to bid on the car, ask for some details of the repair - there must be pictures, estimates, repair bills etc.

Thanks guys, don't worry we will not be pursuing this car,

My brother works in accident repair so ideally he's looking for one with some light damage (and/or an SE) so he can have a bit of a project
