That will depend on what maps they are able to crack. At a minimum they will be the same level as the Cobb. If they can get in to the Vanos maps... oh boy!

If they can get remotely the same functionality as MHD for N54 this will be a HUGE leap forward for the N55.

This is what I was telling my buddy. If that's the case I'm ditching the JB4 completely.

May be too early to ask but will this be e85 compatible the same way you can run map 5 with JB4 or will we need specific tunes based on e85 content?

Running only mhd would be better than jb4 ? Why would you ditch it ?

I don't care to control boost levels with it. I don't plan to run the PI anytime soon when I upgrade the turbo. I'll keep it but I don't need to use it. I'm good with just the flash.

If the car runs good, why not run flash only? I own both and currently run flash only etune. My car runs solid. It could be even better when mhd comes out if they make more tables available to tuners. Can't wait!

Actually F series and E series post 3-2012 are simpler once they have been jailbreaked than pre 3-2012.

Exactly. I just mentioned we are working on it, nothing more. We won't answer any specific question for now, it's too early.

You can pay to have your DME downgraded, doesn't cost much.

No, wrong issue. He has a completely different DME, not just the wrong software on it.

Same! I have a Cobb Ots and running stage 2+fmic. I need a protune but I don't have the ATR because Cobb pulled it

Is there a way I can get ATR for Cobb for free?

You will probably want a custom tune made for e85.

Not anymore. Now you have to pay to take an online training course or something before they will let you download it. If you dont have an older version you're out of luck. Us N55 guys are out of luck with Cobb anyway though. They have left the N55 and even the N54 in the dust.

So forgive my ignorance on this. I have been away from the blog for a while and am now coming back to this panic of abandoning the COBB and jumping onto the MHD. I have the COBB AP V3 running a somewhat perfected set of 93 pump and E85 tunes.

With the MHD, what hardware is required to interface with the car?

Also, what pro-tuners are offering support with this new platform? Is it just MHD?

k+dcan cable (may change when its released if different from the N54) usb OTG cable and an android device that supports USB OTG.

I know Twisted Tuning will support this.

ATR Pro has Vanos mapps unlocked, they are just not available on the ATR free version.

Along with HPFP monitoring and MAF scaling

Twisted will port his tunes over from Cobb to MHD when/if it is ever released for free and PTF will port too (not sure if free)
