Rear will be fine I am currently running 235/35 and 255/35 on 19's and I have run 245/35 and 265/35 in the past.

245/35/19 rubbed a little in the front on a bolt for the aux radiator in the driver's wheel well which is 335is-specific. Calculator says 225/40 is 0.3" taller than 245/35, so that MAY cause an issue.

You could always do 235/35 or 245/35 as an in-between, as an added bonus it'll reduce understeer. I am assuming you are on stock suspension btw.

Have you considered sticking with the stock size and just ditching the run flats?

This is a good point, I'd assumed he wanted a sidewall increase in addition to ditching the runflats.

Definitely ditch the runflats in favor of a can of fix-a-flat and/or a AAA membership.

Agreed a good riding non flat tire is better here.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ride great and are quiet, plus grip like hell, they last pretty long too. Only downside is the price.

Going to a higher section sidewall with the same tread width should give a better ride...it will also make your Speedo and odometer wrong.

225/40R19 will work in the front
255/35R19 will work in the rear
I just replaced the run flats with General G-max AS-05 so so much better and they fit perfectly

Those are the exact sizes i went to. The speedo is more correct now since BMW puts a 3mph difference at 70. The odometer might be a little off be lower milage! The ride is better and you have more tire contact on the road, which translate to better grip. The 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 has a bigger foot print then the 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 btw.

I hate to be that guy that always derails a thread, but your paint is immaculate!

I appreciate the comment but it is far from immaculate these days. Coincidentally, I have a polisher kit arriving from Chemical Guys soon and will be getting serious about detailing it.
