Rear will be fine I am currently running 235/35 and 255/35 on 19's and I have run 245/35 and 265/35 in the past.
245/35/19 rubbed a little in the front on a bolt for the aux radiator in the driver's wheel well which is 335is-specific. Calculator says 225/40 is 0.3" taller than 245/35, so that MAY cause an issue.

You could always do 235/35 or 245/35 as an in-between, as an added bonus it'll reduce understeer. I am assuming you are on stock suspension btw.

Definitely ditch the runflats in favor of a can of fix-a-flat and/or a AAA membership.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ride great and are quiet, plus grip like hell, they last pretty long too. Only downside is the price. |

I have considered original size no run flats but I was wondering if anyone has tried going up in size with no run flats would that give it a better ride

225/40R19 will work in the front 255/35R19 will work in the rear I just replaced the run flats with General G-max AS-05 so so much better and they fit perfectly |

Those are the exact sizes i went to. The speedo is more correct now since BMW puts a 3mph difference at 70. The odometer might be a little off be lower milage! The ride is better and you have more tire contact on the road, which translate to better grip. The 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 has a bigger foot print then the 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 btw.

I appreciate the comment but it is far from immaculate these days. Coincidentally, I have a polisher kit arriving from Chemical Guys soon and will be getting serious about detailing it.
