My cars rpms fluctuate at idle and while in drive without my foot on the pedal. The car jerks when they try to rest at about 600 rpm. It keeps doing it and won't stop. My car has no mods on it. I do have a cylinder 4 misfire that I can't seem to track down and also a "misfire at low fuel". I've changed all coils and spark plugs. Some spark plugs had carbon on them a little bit.

One thing it does, is if I'm sitting on a incline, it will do it. But if the nose of the car is facing downward, this totally stops and the car idles perfectly.

Lastly, when I accelerate, the car seems to jerk back and forward slightly as if the suspension is loose or something like that. Sorry for a bad description.

I love the car, and I love just sitting and running the car with heat since I live in WA and right now it's pretty cold. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Just trying to get this figured out.

Thanks!

How many miles? If you have the N51 engine then you might qualify for 15yr/150,000 SULEV if the car was originally sold in CA. Just an FYI.

Do you have any additional code from Carly scan or INPA?

158xxx miles
Carly only shows a misfire for cylinder 4. But I've changed the spark plug and ignition coil and it still persists.

As far as a warranty, yes my car was built in Ca but I have a salvaged title unfortunately so I don't think they would touch my car.

I would try to switch coils with one next to it and see if Carly will report that.
From your description on incline and stuff and you have the misfire low fuel, I think your underline issue is some sort of fuel pressure sensors or fuel level issue.

Appreciate it. I'll try that and see what happens.

I've tried searching it up and I always come to low pressure fuel sensor from my research.

Also might need a new battery too at the same time

It sucks.
If your N51 fuel tank is like mine then, you might need to pick one up at a junk yard or with someone who is parting out N51 car. Offerup is a good place to find it. Anything fuel related part is in the tank and you might need to replace the entire tank.
Talk to this guy. He is a fair shop if you’re in Tacoma area:

If you’re in North area then this guy is really good at diagnosis with INPA and he’s mobile:

Since its indication low fuel pressure, I would start something with replacing the fuel cap because its cheap.

Battery-this is good brand. Very impressed for the price. Made in Germany.
