Coolant Expansion Tank defective?

I just tried to install a Rein Automotive replacement Coolant Expansion Tank. After filling and doing the bleeding procedure with the cap on, I noticed drips from the top hose and that is want as snug on the fitting as the oem. When took of the cap coolant began leaking from the bottom hose. Then i noticed the bottom hose want snug as well.

So I pulled the replacement tank checked the fitment to the oem tank and everything was snug but I haven't refilled. I'm leaning that the diameter on the replacement tank on both fittings are too small. I don't think that the hoses are the issue. HAs any one had a issue like this replace the expansion tank? Should I just go OEM?

If FCP doesn't sell it, don't put it in a BMW.

On the Pelican Parts site, Rein is only rated 3/5.

As for FCP ... I've been shopping for a replacement valve cover and noticed that FCP only sells OEM covers so maybe I will take the hint and stick with OEM since I definitely don't want to do that job twice!

you are less likely to be able to reuse orour clip hoses due to worn/flatten internal seals at times with non-oe part, even then oe sometimes require new hose or at min new internal seal rings. if the hose is light brown on the inside with age I would replace it otherwise I had some luck flipping the internal hose seal around.
