what are your #'s XHP custom users
So as we all know XHP offers a customization license which allow the end user to modify ANY map before you flash it to the trans.
I have it custom license and have modified my maps to my personal likings, but i want to know what do you like! Lets share our trans tune style and user settings to see where we all stand and maybe we can all adjust within each other. since we can't share performance tunes and the customization side is an open slide bar adjustment we aren't giving out any vendor secrets, so i don't think anything is wrong sharing open info. Here my settings from the XHP flash settings section. Numbers in (*) represent setting number ----------------------------------------------------------------- Tune XHP stage 3 V2.2 -Drive mode _up shift= 1-2(+22) 2-3(+18) 3-4(+11) 4-5(+5) 5-6(-6) _down shift=2-1(0) 3-2(0) 4-3(0) 5-4(-8) 6-5(-15) -Sport mode _up shift= 1-2(-4) 2-3(-12) 3-4(-15) 4-5(-20) 5-6(-24) ***changed 5-6 to -35 have not flashed yet. current -24 shifts to 6th at 70mph. it is very nice on the street and the 2-3 is smooth*** _down shift= unmodified (all 0) -Max RPM kickdown inactive _Drive= 1-2 (4900) 2-3 (4700) 3-4 (4500) 4-5 (4500) 5-6 (4400) **changing all to 4400 have not flashed yet** _Sport= (same) _Manual= (same) -Max RPM kickdown active _Drive = (same as above) _Sport= (same as above) _Manual= (same as above) -kickdown _Drive= yes _Sport= yes _Manual= no -Throttle blips 2-1 (-5) 3-2 (+6) 4-3 (+6) 5-4 (+6) 6-5 (+6) -shift speeds M-Mode 1-2 (-6) 2-3 (-6) 3-4 (-6) 4-5 (-6) 5-6 (-6) **don't know why I put at all -6?? I changed all to +10 but haven't flashed yet** ----------------------------------------------------- it could get rather long so if you can post what you adjusted and what is not posted can be assumed it is unchanged. there is some stuff i didn't change, but the gear shifting is on mine has been changed drastically and another thing i was able to do is get the car the shift to 6th in sport mode. i think we could use this to better all of our info and experiment between with our trans tunes. the XHP customization license will not let us flash an invalid settings. i have been real interested in modifying the stock tune! i just have not done it yet lol

Woo awesome idea. I'll post up mine when I have access to my phone I use for trans tuning. I've refined it a couple times... have yet to load my newest update though. Also love that I can disable kickdown. Pretty sure I've got my shift hardness, max rpm, and throttle blips where I like them. Mostly experimenting with the D and DS shift points. Might be adjusting max rpm when I hit the dyno again with my BRR tune update . Wish we could change the start gear though in D and DS.... sucks having to be in m mode to get a proper launch.

^^ this is what i am talking about!! i haven't messed with shift firmness or blips, but i have bumped my RPM up and down in a few areas... i will be making a few adjustments and move mine down.. i have 1-2 at 4900 and I don't like it.. going to try 4400 and try to keep the car in the higher torque range vs the higher HP.. i have gone to town on all my up and down shift points drive and sport mode.

Edit: I was giving you a reference to go off of to help you set you max rpm (wot) shift points. So I found our transmission gear ratios then used this calculator (https://www.crawlpedia.com/rpm_gear_calculator.htm) to find rpm at a speed in a given gear... So (using my chart below) if I wanted to be around 3,100rpm when I shift to 4th, I found that shifting in 3rd at 4,100rpm dropped me right there. Keeping me in my peak hp range which is from 3,200-3,800 rpm going off my most recent dyno sheet. Hopefully I explained that better.

I updated post 1 with my current setup in XHP going through it I made a few adjustments, but I have not flashed the new tune yet.
RL18 im a little confused?? what are you using to make your adjustments?? im using the "flash settings" in XHP which requires the customization license.

No worries! I cleaned it up a bit anyways.
I find it interesting that you increased your 1>2 shift time though and have your 1st max rpm at 4,900rpm. I hate being in first, it just kind of revs to quickly and goes nowhere being deleted now. I've found that getting into 2 or starting in 2nd makes for the quickest initial acceleration.

in regular drive mode it up because i felt with light throttle it shifted out of first too early and dropped the too low..
the bump up in rpm makes the regular driving seem better.. i just flashed my changes this morning... i did not like the max RPM as high as it was. i changed it all to 4400. having it so high caused allowed the car to shift an extra gear down on the freeway and put the power band in the top area where the car was losing its useable range. after it would shift to the next gear it would start to scoot after that.. Seeing we are both running similar tunes for the DDE and TCU ill probably give your RPM range a try in a week or so

Ahh I see. We both have different styles I guess. Nothing wrong with that though .
I hope they update it to allow us to start in 2nd in D and DS. Cool! I'm going to try to get another dyno soon because my last dyno they did the pull in 3rd and I had two bad pressure converters so my turbos were acting weird so that might change my hp and tq curves a bit.

my trans tune is setup like a mullet.. drive is professional and sport mode is party.. i like to have a nice calm and collective drive mode and if i need to pass or want a quick reaction in shifting i slap it over to sport mode.. i do this quite a bit lol
anyone else want to going the fun! lol

Haha I like that. I haven't really done much messing around with the shift points cause I never drive in those modes... first thing I do when I set off is put mine in M-mode. I just feel more connected with the car that way... if I want to weave through traffic I feel more controlled shifting where I want it to shift rather then letting the car do it for me. D-mode is basically gf mode cause I drive too aggressive . And Idk what DS is lol I just drove in DS once and hated it so I tried getting it close to D mode and I'm going to make adjustments from there to make it more sporty.

Just made the switch to customize as I was sick of the abnormal shifts in standard stg 3. Totally changed the car.

I'm also going to add my x5 parameters once I get the shifting characteristics where I want them.

Anyone got new settings for the V3 map for XHP? I honestly am fine with everything where it is but I need to make the 3rd to 2nd downshift less aggressive in sport mode. Thats honestly the only change I want to make but I'm not sure the best/logical way to do it without messing with any other gears if they seem fine now.
