I had a crack in the water pump, as is very common with these cars. I had an awesome service advisor at the dealer and she got it covered even though I was 1,800 mile past my warranty.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Replace the tank, very easy to do yourself and problem solved. Appears this is somewhat common so this is a likely source of your leak.
I am having this issue and have confirmed it is my expansion tank.

Anyone have a link to a procedure or DIY for replacing the tank?

I too wouldn't mind referring to a DIY on this, it's extremely simple but better safe than sorry!

No real DIY on this one.
You need to remove the vacuum thing in front of the expansion tank bolted to the chassis then remove the hoses.

Not a big deal.

for those that had a leak in the expansion tank where was the puddle forming when you noticed it? yesterday my kid text me a picture of my garage with coolant everywhere, I stopped what I was doing (out driving) and checked for leaks but the only thing I saw was what looked like condensation dripping down behind passenger front tire. This morning watered down coolant all over the garage floor and the drop "origin" was behind the passenger front tire, like it was coming from behind the wheel well. I did a quick peak inside and cant see any coolant residue so figured I would check here while I drink my coffee

The only time I noticed fluid from behind right passenger tire it was not Coolant but instead the green bug wash I use in the windshield pump reservoir.

me too, but it's blue, and the green coolant reservoir tube is full so given the amount under the car this morning that isn't it. time to pull the bottom cover and see if I can see anything

I had a water-like leak underneath the car right inside of the passenger front wheel. I saw the frame wet and looked under the hood and noticed the white crust at the expansion tank.

After an extended period of idling, I noticed the coolant would seep all around the tank at the seam.

If you notice white crust (salt-like crap) all around the expansion tank on the side facing the engine, that means it is leaking.
